Intelligent Coal Mining Machine Innovated

  An ultra-large highly intelligent coal mining machine with the world's largest power was recently launched, according to China Coal Technology and Engineering Group on August 27, which is the second breakthrough the company has made in intelligent coal mining machines since 2019. The machine effectively solves the problem of low resource recovery rate, and can meet the demand of high-efficiency mining.

New Jilin-1 Satellite Launched

  A CERES-1 Y8 carrier rocket sent a new satellite, Jilin-1 Kuanfu 02A, into its planned orbit on August 25. The satellite will work with the previously launched satellites of the Jilin-1 family to form a constellation, providing remote sensing data and services for land survey and smart city construction.

Youth Entrepreneurship Competition Held

  The 2023 Cross-Strait Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition that ended in Changzhou in Jiangsu province on August 25 adjudged over 150 projects from both the mainland and China's Taiwan. More than 30 venture capital organizations participated to explain how these projects work and how to track their progress.

1st Deep Borehole Crosses Half-Way Mark

  China's first borehole for scientific exploration had been drilled to a depth of 6,000 meters by August 27. The target is over 10,000 meters. The borehole is located in the hinterland of the Taklimakan Desert, China's largest desert, in the Tarim Basin in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.
