Apart from displaying the latest sci-tech achievements, the recently concluded Zhongguancun (ZGC) Forum also spared no effort to promote the commercialization of sci-tech achievements.

　　The ZGC International Technology Trade Fair, a key component of the 2023 ZGC Forum, was held to strengthen international cooperation in technology trade and commercialization.

　　Wu Zhaohui, vice minister of science and technology, said at the opening ceremony that China will expand the international technology transfer and commercialization space, build a global innovation network for the sci-tech sector, strengthen the establishment of a national technology transfer system, and enhance the overall efficiency of the national innovation system.

　　Yu Yingjie, vice mayor of Beijing, said the trade fair is a platform to help people keep up with the demand, talent and investment in technology, as well as conducting extensive exchanges and cooperation, and facilitating the commercialization of sci-tech achievements.

　　An annual report on China's commercialization of sci-tech output in 2022, and the country's first operating instruction on sci-tech output commercialization were released at the opening ceremony of the trade fair.

　　According to the annual report, in 2021, the number and amount of contracts for sci-tech commercialization by means of transfer, licensing, pricing investment, technological development, consultation and service of universities and institutions increased significantly. The contract value of multi-modal transformation of sci-tech achievements is on the rise.

　　"The List of 100 Innovative Technologies for International Cooperation" in international technology trade in different fields was released at the Technology Trade Conference for Invited Countries, a parallel session of the trade fair.

　　At this session, experts from China, other BRICS members and Asian countries were invited to share the strategic orientation and demand of industrial cooperation, and promote cutting-edge technologies and innovations.

　　As a crucial element of sci-tech output commercialization, incubation was also discussed. At the World Leading Incubation Forum, running alongside the 2023 ZGC Forum, the Global City Entrepreneurship Incubation Index was released, in which Beijing ranked fourth, while Shenzhen and Shanghai also made the top 10.

　　Zhang Yulei, deputy director of Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission, said that Beijing has been upgrading the operation mechanism and service mode of incubators for the past three decades, and nurtured a large number of outstanding high-tech enterprises.

　　As deputy director of Administrative Commission of ZGC Science Park, Zhang made proposals on incubation of hard technology, including creating an open, synergetic and shared global incubation service network, supporting all types of high-end talent to join the incubation industry and jointly build leading incubators, and strengthen the frontier trend research on hard technology incubation.
