  First ISO Standard for Vacuum Gauges Published

  Developed by several Chinese research institutes, the country's first ISO standard for vacuum gauges was issued recently. The standard defines terms related to spinning rotor gauges (SRGs), specifies the necessary parameters for SRGs, details their calibration procedure and describes which measurement uncertainties to consider when operating these gauges.

  China's Geospatial Information Industry Grows by 17.5%

  The total output of China's geospatial information industry reached 752.4 billion RMB, with a compound growth rate of 17.5 percent for the past decade, according to a report released at the 2022 China Geomatics Industry Conference in Hefei, Anhui province on August 11.

  Long March-6 Sends 16 Satellites in Space

  Launched by a Long March-6 carrier rocket on August 10 from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center in north China's Shanxi province, 16 new satellites, including a Jilin-1 Gaofen 03D09 satellite and Yunyao-1 04-08 satellites, entered the planned orbit. The satellites will be mainly used for commercial-remote sensing and atmospheric imaging.

  World's First Suspended-Maglev Line Completes Test

  In Xingguo county, Jiangxi province, China completed the test of the country's independently-developed trial line using rare earth permanent magnetic levitation technology last week. The line can hang up a two carriages' train in the air with medium and low speed.
